Q. Why did you come to Hong Kong? When did you come to Hong Kong?

A. The opportunity came from marrying a woman from Hong Kong. After marriage, I settled in Hong Kong in March 2024.

Q.Why did you become a Japanese language teacher?

A. Mr. Aso studied education at Nihon University and has always been passionate about education. In addition, since he holds a Japanese teaching qualification, he began to teach Japanese to foreigners during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Q.Why do you want to officially start a Japanese language class in Hong Kong?

A. Up to now, I have been teaching Japanese as a sideline. However, there are many Hong Kong people among my current students, and Hong Kong students have a strong desire to learn. Moreover, Hong Kong people love Japanese culture, so I want to contribute a little to the Japanese learners in Hong Kong and hope to help everyone.

Q. Why do you emphasize one-on-one learning model so much?

A. From my own experience in teaching Japanese, I know that each Japanese student has different learning goals, levels, and progress. For example, some students want to focus on conversation, some want to focus on exam skills, and some want to make all-round preparations for working in Japanese companies. In order to improve each student's Japanese language ability with the highest efficiency, Mr. Aso believes that a one-on-one learning model is the most ideal. (If students need it, they can also take classes in a small class)

Q.Are there any face-to-face classes?

A. Of course, no problem. Not only online teaching, but if students need it, we can also conduct one-on-one face-to-face classes at Mr. Aso’s address, students’ address, cafes, etc. Especially for children under 6 years old, Mr. Aso also understands that online teaching is more difficult. If you need it, please feel free to contact us.

Q. Where did the name of the Nihon University Japanese Language Classroom come from?

A. Mr. Aso graduated from Nihon University, and the nearest station to Nihon University is Nichidai-mae Station. The educational philosophy of Nihon University is [independent creation], which means to open up your own path through your own ability. In fact, many founders of Japanese companies graduated from Nihon University, such as Yoshinoya, Mos Burger, and Matsumoto Kiyoshi, which Hong Kong people must know. The founders all graduated from Nihon University. Therefore, Mr. Aso hopes that Hong Kong students can also open up their own paths through their own strength, so he named it [Nichidai-mae Japanese Language Classroom].
